SHOR YOSHUV TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS!

The great founder of Sho’or Yoshuv, Rav Shlomo Feifeld zt”l, was a remarkable visionary. He set out on a path to create a unique Makom Torah in Far Rockaway and he let nothing deter him. Yet, as forward-thinking as he was, it is hard to believe that even he could have imagined what our community would look like in 2017.

Could he have possibly dreamt of the impact Sho’or Yoshuv and its thousands of talmidim have made, not just in our neighborhood, but in the entire world?

Indeed, that is the gadlus of a visionary; he sees not just the seed but the huge, flourishing tree which will emerge. With great Siyata Dishmaya, that vision has come to fruition right in our backyard. We are proud to invite the entire community to the 50th Anniversary Dinner to take place on Monday, May 22nd at 6:30 pm at the Yeshiva campus.

Though the Yeshiva has grown exponentially b’ruchnius and b’gashmius over the years, the same unique Kol Torah rings from its Bais Medrash day and night.

Characteristically, the Yeshiva is not resting on its laurels. The devotion that drives a rebbi to give 110% to help his talmidim grow; the intensity that defines the Yeshiva’s Derech Ha’Avodah; the enthusiasm that pushes its alumni to devote themselves to Klal Yisroel… those same emotions are now being channeled into developing the Yeshiva for the next 50 years.
